Nike is dropping a new colourway of the Kyrie 6 is set to drop on June 12th for $130. This shoe was initially thought to be called the “Olympics” however, it is dropping under the name “Neon Graffiti”.

The upper is made up of a white mesh and pebbled leather base which is highlighted with neon accents of blue, yellow and pink. Above the static like embroidered swoosh, “Nike” is written in a graffiti style font. With the other side of the shoe featuring a large blue pinwheel. Other details consists of the retro Nike logo printed on the blue translucent strap.

If this colourway was indeed planned to be called the “Olympics” it manages to capture the city of Tokyo very well. Tokyo is known for its long history of street art which goes back to the mid-90s this is represented with the Nike embroidery. Also the famous neon signs in the Shinjuku District has become a symbol of Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife which is highlighted through the bright neon accents. The colourway can go further to be called “Tokyo” and the name will certainly fit.
