The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League which has been running since April 2010 has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The EYBL was established to put together AAU teams and create a national championship for youth teams. The athletes participating in the league has been given exclusive gear every year and this year is no different despite the cancellation of the league. Two shoes, the KD 13 and Kobe 5 Proto will be issued with along with EYBL apparel consisting of sweats, tees, hoodies and basketballs.
The Kobe 5 Proto is covered in a tie-dye pattern covering the black base with royal blue on the heel. tongue and laces. The midsole is blacked out to highlight the bright orange outsole. KD 13 also has a different type of tie-dye pattern covering the whole upper of the shoe, with a bright green solid outsole.
