Nike SB recently released the Sashiko Pack which was inspired by Sashiko, a Japanese style of embroidery used as a form of reinforcement. It was came as a surprise when it was revealed that Kyrie S2 Hybrid would be part of the pack as well. For Kyrie Irving, skateboarding and Nike SB sneakers played a major role in his love for sneakers hence the his signature shoe in a SB pack. It looks as though the Sashiko Pack will welcome a latecomer in the Kyrie Low 3.
Called the “Sesame”, the whole upper is dressed in soft beige going well with the suede back. The Sachiko inspired embroidery can be found all over the shoe. The lateral side features 5 lines of stitching that form a outline of a Swoosh while the medial side features a denim Swoosh stitched in a zig-zag pattern. The velcro area for the strap is also attached with the help of Sashiko embroidery, this particular pattern is similar to the Seigaiha pattern which means “Blue Sea Waves”, a symbol of good luck. Subtle details include the Nike label on tongue which has been replaced with “BB” instead of “SB” for obvious reasons.
While this particular colourway is available in areas such as Japan and Korea, there is the slightest possibility that these may see a European and State-side release.
