With the NBA playoffs underway, Nike Basketball has quietly released a new silhouette designed for athletes in China. Catered towards the region’s vibrant blacktop scene, the S.T. Flare features a durable XDR outsole with a herringbone pattern providing grip for quick stops and cuts on the outdoor courts. In terms of tech, the midsole features a Cushlon 3.0 foam and a forefoot Air Zoom unit providing the necessary cushioning and energy return. Moving up to the upper, the S.T. Flare utilises a lightweight mesh with a fuse around the band that works alongside the Flywires in the forefoot area to provide midfoot containment. With the price yet to be announced, it will first be available on the 1st of June with more colourways to follow.
