UNDER ARMOUR SPAWN 3 BREAKDOWN

The Under Armour Spawn 3 has been leaked. The Spawn series is a team shoe made by Under Armour to showcase the performance of Mirco-G foam. The shoe is mainly targeted at guards as the series has been seen worn by player like Dennis Smith Jr and Kent Bazemore.

Upper

The upper looks to continue using the cheaper materials to keep the price affordable. The main upper uses a open-cell mesh for breathability and lightness. The upper consists of synthetic overlays for additional support. The TPU piece on the midfoot section which has existed on the Spawn 1 and the Spawn 2 has been removed.

Midsole Cushion Set-up

The Spawn 3 continues to implement full-length Micro-G foam as the cushion set-up. This allows the athlete to have a higher level of bounce and responsiveness off the floor. Unlike the previous models which were uncaged, the midsole of the Spawn 3 has a aggressive outsole curvature that wraps the side of the midsole. This is expected to improve the responsiveness and court feel of the Micro-G foam.

Outsole

The outsole features a multi-direction wave pattern much like the previously leaked Embiid 1. The shoe also features a aggressive outsole curvature on the heel allowing better heel to toe transition.

Price and Release Dates

We expect the Spawn 3 to be priced around the $100 range and official release dates are yet to be announced.
