@HouseofHeat gave us an official look at the Jordan Jumpman 2021. Recently with the Jumpman 2020, the Jumpman line has become a takedown model of the existing Air Jordan line. The Jumpman 2020 took the silhouette of the Air Jordan 34 and was released with compromised tech and materials. The Jumpman 2021 looks to take inspiration from the Air Jordan 35 which is expected to release at the end of the year.
Upper
Overall upper looks similar to the Air Jordan 35, however it does lack the extra overlays the Air Jordan 35 sports. Also, it is suspected that the quality of the materials are lower than the 35th signature shoe. Both the tongue tabs and heel tabs are labelled “Jumpman”, once again confirming the status of the performance model.
Midsole Cushion Set-up
It’s predecessor the Jumpman 2020 had a forefoot Zoom unit with a pylone midsole. Jordan brand hasn’t made significant changes as the Jumpman 2021 also looks to feature a forefoot Zoom unit and a pylone midsole. The Jumpman 2021 features a TPU plate on the lateral side for additional lateral containment.
Outsole
The outsole pattern is a standard herringbone pattern with the middle area hollowed out to expose the midsole foam.
Price and Release Date
In terms of tech there hasn’t been a significant improvement, there is the potential of better materials compared to the previous model. Due to the slight improvement in materials, expect a slight increase in the price from the Jumpman 2020. The shoes are likely to release after the release of the Air Jordan 35.
