As one of Kobe Bryant’s inspirations, Bruce Lee had a huge impact in the way Kobe approached the game of basketball. Bruce Lee’s philosophy of having the fundamental skills to adapt to any given situation allowed Kobe to elevate his game to the next level. In 2010, as a way of honouring him, Kobe wore a colourway inspired by Bruce Lee’s iconic yellow tracksuit with scar marks on the side. This would be the first “Bruce Lee” colourway which take many forms in Kobe’s future signature shoes and made a few appearances in Kyries, a mentee of Kobe Bryant.
Just like the original, the black overlays that represent the stripes of Bruce Lee’s tracksuit covers the glossy yellow leather upper. The famous scars are detailed on the side and Kobe’s logo on tongue has been given a metallic finish perhaps to represent the variety of weapons Bruce Lee was able to orchestrate.
Just like every recent Kobe signature shoe, this colourway is limited. This colourway is set to release on SNKRS on the 27th of November for $180.
