Nike has finally unveiled the Cosmic Unity, along with its tech-specs. The Cosmic Unity will be the first step for Nike performance sneakers towards sustainability as it continues its Move to Zero initiative. The Cosmic Unity will be made up of at least 25% recycled materials by weight and will feature a full-length Zoom Strobel unit.
Starting from the upper, it is made up of recycled cable yarn and the marble Swoosh on the side is partially recycled. The midsole is made up of Nike Crater Foam which uses Nike Grit Rubber and the craters on the side act to reduce the weight. Even the Zoom Stobel unit is partially recycled and removes the need for binding material thus reducing materials used on the shoe.
“Green Glow” colourway will start off the global release on February 26th.
“Amalgam” colourway will be released on March 7th.
“Space Hippie” colourway will be released on March 12th.
