With Damian Lillard playing his best brand of basketball in his 9th season as a Portland Trailblazer, images of his 8th signature shoe were leaked along with the tech-specs.
Upper
The Dame 8 will be Adidas’ first basketball shoe to have sustainability in mind. The mid-cut upper will be made up with 50% recycled content. Whilst the materials may have been altered, the Dame 8 looks to share a similar design language to the Dame 7. So, we expect the upper to have a similar fit with improved lockdown due to extra heel padding.
Midsole
The midsole will ditch full-length Lightstrike from the Dame 7 for a new foam called Bounce Pro, a “dual density” cushion. The tech-sheet states that it will provide an “ideal ratio between energy return, cushioning, and support”.
Outsole
The outsole consists of a wave like pattern while the outermost areas of the outsole features the same outsole pattern found on the Dame 7.
