Around the end of the season, Donovan Mitchell was seen practising in his latest signature shoe, the D.O.N. Issue #4. Recently, detailed renderings of the Issue #4s surfaced, giving us an idea of what to expect from the Utah Jazz All-Star’s fourth signature shoe.
Upper
The upper keeps the low-cut design that has been consistent throughout Mitchell’s signature line. The upper features a construction similar to the Issue #2 with a mesh upper at the front and a synthetic leather heel. The forefoot area around the lacing has been labelled as “Lightlock”. Currently, it is unclear whether it is Adidas’ latest lacing system or mesh material.
Midsole
The midsole will feature full-length Lightstrike, a foam technology first introduced in the N3X3T L3V3L. Compared to Boost, Lightstrike provides a more responsive and lightweight sensation. The Lightstrike foam is combined with SprintFrame for stability during quick movements.
Outsole
The outsole traction pattern is a digitalised herringbone traction bearing resemblance to the UA Flow outsoles.
