JORDAN WHY NOT ZER0.6

With Zion Williamson and Luka Doncic, Russell Westbrook is one of the only athletes in the NBA with an active signature line with Jordan Brand. With Westbrook coming off the bench for the first time since his rookie season, his 6th signature shoe that will accompany him this season has been leaked.

Upper

Reflecting Russell Westbrook’s unorthodox playstyle and his fashion off the court, the Why Not line has always introduced radical silhouettes. The Why Not 0.6 is no exception as it comes with a fully zippable upper like the Zoom Flight ‘98 and PG 4. A semi-transparent mesh is used to cover the forefoot and midfoot area for breathability. On the heel and sidewalls, fuse and leather materials are used for lockdown and containment. The zipper design also includes little details like “Why Not?” continuing across the collar lining.

Midsole

Ever since the introduction of the One Take line, Why Not models have been given an extra Air Zoom unit on the forefoot. Apart from the Air Zoom tech-labelling on the forefoot outsole, there are no signs to indicate that Jordan brand has altered the Why Not line’s existing set-up. So, it is safe to assume that the Why Not 0.6 will once again feature a double-stacked Air Zoom unit on the forefoot with an EVA midsole.

Outsole

Like most of Westbrook’s signature shoes, the Why Not 0.6 has a decoupled outsole. The traction pattern is similar to the Why Not 0.4 where the outsole features multidirectional nubs throughout the outsole. But the forefoot also has an area which uses a herringbone traction pattern.
