As Ja Morant enters the off-season early with the Memphis Grizzlies not being able to make the playoffs, the Nike athlete took to Instagram to give a first look at the Nike Ja 4, which he would wear preparing for the upcoming season. Overall, the shoe leans into the seamless and retro-futuristic design language established on the G.T. line and KD19. However, instead of leaning into moulded TPU, the Ja 4 uses a synthetic leather-like material to wrap the whole upper and midsole, while the surface has been treated to create the gritty texture, which gives the Ja 4 its signature personality and separation from the other Nike silhouettes. In terms of tech, nothing has been confirmed; however, we expect the Ja 4 to feature a full-length ZoomX to work with the large TPU outrigger to provide cushioning and support.
