Since, the KD 4s, KD’s signature line has taken the tradition of releasing the “Aunt Pearl” colourway each year. Aunt Pearl, who passed away from cancer in 2000, had a significant impact in Kevin Durant’s life. The way she affected him and her fearless battle against cancer inspired him to create the “Aunt Pearl” colourway with part of the proceedings of the colourway going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
This year is no exception as the KD 13 “Aunt Pearl” is set to release this month. The main upper comes in cloud pink, matching the foam midsole that carries full-length Zoom Air. Contrasting from the simple and one-tone upper the oversized silver iridescent Swoosh on the lateral side and the tie-dye style print on the overlays add extra flair to the overall colourway. The formless mixture of navy and pink in the outsole completes the look.
The KD 13 “Aunt Pearl” is set to release on the 24th of October for $160.
