What to expect from the Kyrie Low 2

An images has been leaked showing the Kyrie Low 2. Nike has released three shoe lines under Kyrie’s name and the second model to the low has been leaked. The low was generally considered as the mid-tier shoe under Kyrie’s name. The first lows had bottom-loaded heel and forefoot zoom which made the shoe more premium against the budget Flytraps. So, I expect the Kyrie Low 2s to keep that edge over the Flytraps.

Looking at the upper, the lacing system looks similar to the Dame 3 and the Harden Vol.2 featuring additional lace holes on a large plastic piece to adjust to your own comfort. The shoe features a external heel counter and how there is a line in the misole to align with the heel counter is similar to the Kobe AD Mid. The upper seems to be a mesh material and nothing no fuse overlay on the toe area. Apart from the lacing the overall shape of the upper looks very similar to the Kyrie Low 1.

From the midsole to the outsole, what the shoe will feature is a grey area. The midsole doesn’t have the typical Nike labeling to tell us what cushioning the shoe is using. But, the midsole foam is very likely to be a Phylon midsole combined with Zoom Air. It’s likely that the shoe may stick to its previous set-up and go for a forefoot and heel Zoom cushioning.

For the outsole, there no way of knowing what it would look like. However, it will probably have good traction since its Kyrie’s shoe.

Overall, the shoe looks like a typical summer basketball shoe to play outdoors and a solid performer. But I won’t count on the cushioning since these are Kyries.
