Ever since the first release of the “Bruce Lee” colourway in the Kyrie 3, Kyrie has stuck to the tradition of releasing a the colourway for every new Kyrie model released. The “Bruce Lee” colourway was originally a Kobe 5 colourway to show his respect towards the Hong Kong American martial artist. Kyrie Irving being a close friend of Kobe Bryant had the same impact from Bruce Lee’s philosophy which lead him to release the “Bruce Lee” colourway.
The colourway not only pays tribute to Bruce Lee but also to Kyrie’s long time friend and mentor Kobe Bryant. It is highlighted on the tongue where the logo is made up of half of Kobe’s logo and Kyrie’s logo. The base of the shoe is made up of a bright red mesh and suede back. The black shoes on the side features a scar, a reference to Bruce Lee’s wounds from the final battle of “Enter the Dragon”. The shoe features a black translucent strap and a black solid outsole and midsole.
