Donovan Mitchell teased that his second signature shoe is set to release this summer. And with Adidas releasing image of Donovan Mitchell wearing the shoe in the video game NBA 2K20. Also several images have emerged showing what the shoe will look like in real life.
Since Donovan’s signature shoe remains at the low end of signature shoes, the upper is a low-cut shoe with the material being standard mesh and a large exaggerated heel counter. The lacing system is similar to the D Rose 9 where laces go through thin wires that has been sewed onto the shoe.
The midsole features Bounce same as the previous model. However, the way in which the bounce cushion is structured is similar to the way in which the Lightstrike foam is structure in the Harden Vol 4. We’ll have to see if the change in structure of the Bounce foam will improve the feel for the foam and the cushioning.
The outsole is a tribute to Donovan’s nickname “Spida Mitchell” with a the outsole featuring spider web like pattern at the bottom. The outsole structure is also similar to the Harden Vol 4. Where there is large grooves of separations to allow more bending to allow a more fluid heel to toe transition.
There is no information in the price or the release date however, it will remain a wallet friendly signature shoe.
